New Jersey Shorebird by John Edward Loveland
Nice New Jersey curlew by John Edward Loveland (1851 – 1920) with original bill splined through back of head. Size measures approximately 10″ from tip of bill to tip of tail. This was a working decoy and has some shot marks and roughness (visable in above image). Signed on bottom “JEL” for John Edward Loveland. Ex. John Hillman collection.
